The Weekly Thermometer- 11-27-07

This is a look at the fantasy temperature of who is hot, cold, and lukewarm. We will examine a few players in each temperature range each week.

The Counselor is IN:

Who is Hot?

Rookie Running Back Kolby Smith is red hot coming off of his first start for the Chiefs. He had 31 carries for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not a bad first start.

The Dallas Defense is steaming hot. They held the Jets to just a field goal and just over 200 yards of offense. The Jets were held to just 60 yards rushing.

WR Chad Johnson is the hot receiver of the week. He has been cold most of the year but Week 12 he heated it up with 3 touchdowns and 12 receptions for 102 receiving yards.

Bonus-College Football* Mizzou Tigers are red hot. They are ranked #1 for the first time since 1960. They are set for a re-match with the Sooners, who gave Mizzou their only loss. If they can win this game, they will play for the National Championship.

Who is Lukewarm?

RB Rudi Johnson is lukewarm. He managed 88 yards on 25 carries and averaged only 3.5 yards per carry.

RB Clinton Portis is also lukewarm. He had 20 carries and 68 yards with an average of 3.4 yards per carry.

QB Ben Roethlisberger had a mediocre week. He was knee deep in a quagmire called Hines Field. He was 18 for 21 but for only 165 yards.

Who is Cold?

RB Lendale White had a chilly week. After having a hot October, his November has cooled off drastically. He managed only 8 carries for 27 yards.

WR Braylon Edwards also had a smokin' hot October but has chilled in November. He only had 4 catches for 57 yards.

QB Eli Manning is cold as ice. 4 interceptions this week took him from lukewarm to frigid. The Giants have to be disappointed with this performance and his lack of progress this year.
