Week12 Fantasy Injury Report - Thursday's Edition

The Counselor is IN:

Here are the Week 12 fantasy injuries and my commentary. This is the Thursday Edition. I have included the latest information for all players. I will put out an edition updating further the status for this weekend's games later in the week. There is a lack of information on some of the players in this weekend's games.

Thursdays Games

RB Jerious Norwood is probable with an ankle sprain. He barely played on Sunday. He is still playing second fiddle to Dunn.

QB Bryon Leftwich has an ankle injury and is probable. The Falcons have decided to start Harrington this week. Their QB position will remain a Merry Go Round. I would avoid their QB's like the plague.

WR Joe Horne is questionable with a hamstring injury. He missed practice on Tuesday. He will be a game time decision. The signs are pointing to him missing Thursday's game. I would keep him on the bench.

WR Isaiah Stanback appears to be active for Thursday Game. He could see an increase in his role with Crayton's injury.

WR Patrick Crayton is Questionable with a sprained ankle. He missed practice on Tuesday. It is a good chance he will not play on Thursday. Look for Hurd to start if Crayton can not play.

No significant fantasy injuries. This is good news for the Lions who play on Thursday.

WR Koren Robinson is probable with a knee injury. He missed practice on Tuesday. He should be able to play on Thanksgiving.

WR Marvin Harrison is questionable with a knee injury. He was limited in practice on Tuesday. He remains a game time decision.

WR Anthony Gonzalez is questionable for this week with a hand injury. He was able to practice on Tuesday. He is likely to play on Thursday.

WR Aaron Moorehead obtained a back injury and was placed on the Injured Reserves. Colts are depleting their receiving corp.

WR Laveranues Coles had an ankle injury and is questionable for Thanksgiving. He was limited in practice on Tuesday. It does not look positive for him to play on Thursday.

Weekend Games

WR Larry Fitzgerald
is probable with some minor bumps and bruises. He will play this week. Fitzgerald will play on Sunday. He is a good start.

No significant fantasy injuries

RB Marshawn Lynch
is questionable with an ankle injury. Early reports for this week are not positive. It appears that Lynch will miss week 12.

WR Steve Smith
is probable with an ankle injury. He is likely to play this weekend.

No significant fantasy injuries.

WR TJ Houshmandzadeh
is probable with a back injury. He might be limited in practice this week but is expected to play with no issues on Sunday.

No significant fantasy injuries.

RB Travis Henry
is questionable with a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. I will update Henry's status further in the week. He is also facing an NFL Drug suspension but he is not expecting to hear on the appeal this week.

RB Selvin Young is probable with a knee injury. He obtained the injury Monday night but was able to come back into the game. He should be able to start on Sunday.

WR Javon Walker is questionable with a knee injury. He is expected to start practice this week. He is hopeful that he will be able to play on Sunday. I would remain cautious of Walker until he demonstrates that he can play.

RB Ryan Grant has a mild sprained ankle and is questionable. He is considered day to day. He was limited in practice on Tuesday.

RB Ahman Green
is questionable with a knee injury. He is day to day at this time. At this point, playing Green is a risky move.

TE Owen Daniels broke his noise and is probable for this week. He broke it making his first reception on Sunday. He should be able to play this weekend.

No significant fantasy injuries.

RB Larry Johnson
is out with a foot injury. The amount of his carries from the last 3 years have come back to haunt him.

RB Priest Holmes retired from the NFL on Wednesday. This is very sad since Priest looked fairly good on Sunday before the injury.

No significant fantasy injuries.
They also have no significant fantasy players at this time.

RB Adrian Peterson
is out with a sprained right LCL. He should be back in a few weeks. There were a lot of fantasy owners relieved by the diagnosis rather than a torn ACL.

No significant fantasy injuries.

RB Laurence Maroney
is questionable with a foot injury. The Patriots are being very cryptic about this injury.

RB Kevin Faulk is questionable with a head injury. Kevin stated that he is fine and will play this week.

RB Brandon Jacobs
is questionable with a hamstring injury. Look for more updates on this later in the week.

WR Steve Smith is questionable with a hamstring injury. His shoulder is finally healed but now he is struggling with a hamstring injury.

RB Michael Bush
is expected to be activated from the PUP this week.

QB Donovan McNabb
is questionable with an ankle and thumb injury. The MRI revealed swelling in the back of the ankle and in the thumb. Neither ankle nor thumb is broken. I would bench McNabb for this week at least. I know I am in my league.

WR Santonio Holmes
is questionable with a right sprained ankle. Watch for more updates on this issue.

No significant fantasy injuries.

QB Matt Hasselbeck
is probable with a rib injury. He is expected to play on Sunday.

RB Shaun Alexander is questionable with a multiple injuries of wrist, ankle, and knee. He is not expected to practice on Wednesday. He has not been ruled out for Sunday but he will not be allowed to play if he does not practice this week. I doubt if he will return this week.

QB Alex Smith
is OUT with a forearm injury. It appears he will be out at least the next 2 weeks and may have season ending surgery. Trent Dilfer will start this week for the 49ers. If you are starting a 49ers QB, your fantasy season is over.

No significant fantasy injuries.

No significant fantasy injuries.

QB Vince Young
is probable with a quad contusion. He is expected to miss some practice this week but to start on Sunday.

WR Santana Moss
has a heel injury and is probable to play on Sunday. It appears that he will play.

WR James Thrash is questionable with a high ankle sprain. He is currently in a walking boot. He is expected to not need the walking boot later in the week. Thrash has limited fantasy potential and upside. This injury should not matter to anyone.
