Week 1 Fantasy Injury Report - Weekend Ed.

The Counselor is IN:

Cardinals:
WR Anquan Boldin has an injured hamstring and is questionable. All week it has looked likely that Boldin would play but now it is much less likely. Boldin stated that it would be better to miss week one rather than re-injure himself and miss more time. I am benching him in a couple of leagues and suggest you do so unless you can wait until game time (3:15 CDT) to determine if you will start him.

WR Steve Breaston is probable with a knee injury. He is expected to play this weekend.

WR Early Doucet
has a rib injury and is questionable for Sunday. He was limited in practice on Friday. Doucet is a bench guy in a Dynasty league but is not a starter at this point in his career. This injury should not matter to most fantasy owners.

Falcons:
QB Matt Ryan is probable and had an illness. He should be just fine on Sunday.

RB Jerious Norwood
has a knee injury and is probable. He practiced from Wednesday on. He will play but he will have limited fantasy value.

Ravens:
TE L.J. Smith has a pulled left hamstring and is doubtful for Sunday. Smith is a backup TE who should not be owned.

Bills:

WR James Hardy is out indefinitely due to recovering from ACL surgery.

Panthers:
RB Jonathan Stewart is probable with an Achilles injury. He fully practiced most of the week.

Bears:
WR Devin Aromashodu has a quadricep injury and is questionable. He is the third WR for the Bears. He has very limited value at this time. He should not be started.

RB Kevin Jones is on the Injured Reserve with an ankle injury. He has no value.

Bengals:

QB Carson Palmer is probable with an ankle injury. He practiced most of the week and will play on Sunday.

Browns:
No significant fantasy injuries.

Cowboys:
WR Roy E. Williams is probable with a shoulder injury. He practiced all week. He should be fine to start.

Broncos:
RB Knowshon Moreno is probable and is recovering from a sprained MCL. He should play on Sunday but will be limited in carries.

QB Kyle Orton
has a finger injury and is questionable. He is expected to play on Sunday.

Lions:

RB Kevin Smith is probable with a sore hip. He should play tomorrow.

WR Dennis Northcutt
is probable with a hand injury. He was limited in practice on Friday. As the third wide in Detroit, he have very limited upside and potential.

K Jason Hanson has a minor knee injury and is probable. He is expected to play.

Packers:

RB Brandon Jackson is questionable with an ankle injury. He did not practice this week. He is only a backup so it should not matter.

Texans:
QB Matt Schaub has an ankle injury and is probable. He fully practiced on Friday. I expect him to play with no issues on Sunday.

WR Kevin Walter is questionable with a hamstring injury. He will be a game time decision.

Colts:
No significant fantasy injuries.

Jaguars:
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
has a deep bruise to his right leg and is probable. He is expected to play.

Chiefs:

QB Matt Cassel has a knee injury questionable. He is not a good start against the Ravens even if he was not hurt. Bench his for this week.

Dolphins:
No significant fantasy injuries.

Vikings:
WR Bernard Berrian has a hamstring injury and is questionable. He was limited in practice this week. If he plays, it will probably be in a limited role. Leave Berrian on the bench.

Patriots:
QB Tom Brady is probable with a sore right shoulder. He will play and should have a big game against Buffalo.

WR Wes Welker has a knee injury and is questionable. There is no way to know if he will play or not. I would bench him for Monday's game.

Saints:
RB Pierre
Thomas is out with a knee injury. Thomas should have great fantasy year but not in week one.

TE Jeremy Shockey has an ankle injury and is probable for Sunday. I expect him to be productive in Week One against the hapless Lions.

Giants:
No significant fantasy injuries.

Jets:
TE Dustin Keller
has a toe injury and is probable. He fully practiced on Friday.

Raiders:

RB Justin Fargas is questionable with a hamstring injury. He did miss practices this week. Fargas has lost the starting RB job. He should not be started at this time.

WR Chaz Schilens has a foot injury and he is out for the week.

Eagles:

RB Brian Westbrook is probable with a knee injury. He is expected to play and should be a fantasy starter this week. He was limited in practice on Friday but nothing to worry about.

WR Kevin Curtis probable with a knee injury. Curtis is at the top of the depth chart for Wide Receivers in Philly. He never panned out as a fantasy starter last year and I do not see he as one this week.

Steelers: (Thurs Game)
WR Santonio Holmes is probable with a back injury. He will be ready to go on Thursday. This is nothing to worry about.

RB "Fast" Willie Parker has a hamstring tweak and is listed as probable. Parker is the starting back and will be the goal line back. He should be good to start this week.

Chargers:
No significant fantasy injuries.

49ers:
No significant fantasy injuries.

Seahawks:
WR Dion Branch is questionable with a hamstring injury. He missed practice this week. He will be a game time decision.

Rams:
QB Mark Bulger
is probable with a broken finger. He is expected to play. He took all of the first team snaps on Friday.

Buccaneers:

WR Antonio Bryant is probable with a knee injury. He will play on Sunday against his old team Dallas. Look for them to test the young Cowboys secondary.

WR Michael Clayton has a hamstring injury and is probable. He was limited in practice this week.

Titans: (Thurs Game)
WR Nate Washington is questionable with a hamstring injury. He has been out most of the preseason with this hamstring. He has practiced this week. Is 50/50 if the best wide out for the Titans will play or not.

Redskins:
No significant fantasy injuries.
