The Counselor is IN:
Here are the Week 11 fantasy injuries and my commentary.
Cardinals:
QB Kurt Warner is probable with a left elbow. He practiced fully on Wednesday. He will start on Sunday.
Falcons:
RB Jerious Norwood is questionable with an ankle sprain. He was limited in practice on Wednesday. He expects to play on Sunday. He appears to be close to 100% back. He is still playing second fiddle to Dunn.
QB Bryon Leftwich has an ankle injury and is questionable. He will be a game time decision. With off weeks past us, there should not be a need to start Leftwich even when he is healthy.
WR Joe Horne is questionable with a hamstring injury. He missed a second day of practice on Thursday. He will be a game time decision. The signs are pointing to him missing Sunday's game. I would keep him on the bench.
Ravens:
TE Todd Heap is questionable with a thigh injury. He did not practice on Thursday. Keep an eye on Heap and his health.
QB Steve McNair is out this week and out for the next couple of weeks with a partial dislocation in his left (non-throwing) shoulder. According to the
RB Marshawn Lynch is questionable with an ankle injury. He missed practiced all week. It looked like he might be back for this week's game against the Pats earlier in the week but the news keeps getting worse out of
Panthers:
QB Vinny Testaverde is probable with an Achilles' tendon injury. He has been able to practice all week. This week's starter at QB has not been announced.
RB DeShaun Foster is probable with turf toe. He missed practice on Wednesday but practiced fully on Thursday. He should be fine for Sunday.
WR Steve Smith is questionable with a slight shin injury. He has missed practice all week. He will be a game time decision.
Bears:
QB Brian Griese has a shoulder injury and is questionable for this week. Grossman has been announced as the starter for Week 11.
WR Chad Johnson is probable with knee injury. He sat out of practice on Thursday. He will play on Sunday.
Browns:
WR Joe Jurevicius has a leg injury and is probable. He is expected to play this weekend.
Cowboys:
WR Isaiah Stanback is probable with a shoulder injury. He has practiced fully this week. Stanback has very limited fantasy value or potential.
Broncos:
RB Travis Henry is questionable with a partial tear of the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He was limited in practice on Thursday. He thinks he will play on Monday night. I would not count on it especially with Selvin Young playing well.
TE Tony Scheffler is probable with a chest injury.
WR Javon Walker is questionable with a knee injury. He ran in some pre-practice warm ups but did not practice on Wednesday. It is very unlikely that he will play on Monday night.
Lions:
QB Jon Kitna has an back strain and is probable. He was limited in practice on Wednesday. He will start against the Cardinals this weekend and should have a great weekend.
RB Kevin Jones is questionable with a foot injury. The Lions may hold him out on Sunday so he will be able to play on Thursday.
Packers:
TE Bubba Franks is out with a knee injury. He will not play this week.
WR Koren Robinson is questionable with a knee injury. He missed practice on Wednesday.
Texans:
RB Ahman Green is probable with a knee injury. It appears that he will be in the lineup this weekend. At this point, playing Green is a risky move.
Colts:
WR Marvin Harrison is questionable with a knee injury. He did practice on Thursday. He remains a game time decision.
TE Dallas Clark is questionable with a concussion. He practiced fully on Wednesday. He should be on the field on Sunday.
Jaguars:
WR Ernest Willford is probable with a hip injury. He was limited in practice on Thursday.
Chiefs:
RB Larry Johnson is out with a foot injury. The amount of his carries from the last 3 years have come back to haunt him.
QB Damon Huard is probable for Sunday. Huard will be on the bench and Brodie Croyle will be starting for the Chiefs. That is good news for the Colts.
Dolphins:
No significant fantasy injuries.
Vikings:
RB Adrian Peterson is out with a sprained right LCL. He should be back in a few weeks. There were a lot of fantasy owners relieved by the diagnosis rather than a torn ACL.
Saints:
RB Reggie Bush is questionable from a helmet to helmet hit. His coach believes he will be able to play on Sunday.
Patriots:
WR Wes Welker is questionable for Sunday's game. He was limited in practice on Friday. He will be a game time decision. I would not chance it unless you do not have a good alternative.
Giants:
WR Plaxico Burress is probable with an ankle injury. He has missed practice on Friday but he is expected to play on Sunday.
RB Derrick Ward is out with an ankle and groin injury. He will miss the game on Sunday.
Jets:
WR Laveranues Coles had a concussion and remains probable for Sunday. He practiced all week.
Raiders:
WR Jerry Porter is probable with a quadriceps strain. He was limited in practice on Thursday.
QB Josh McCown is questionable with a thigh injury. He missed practice on Thursday.
Eagles:
RB Brian Westbrook is questionable with a knee injury. He missed practice on Friday. Coach Reid believes Westbrook will play.
Steelers:
RB Willie Parker is probable with a knee injury. He fully participated in practice on Thursday.
Chargers:
WR Vincent Jackson is probable with a abdomen strain. He was limited in practice on Thursday.
Seahawks:
WR Deion Branch is probable with a foot injury. He is expected to play on Sunday.
RB Shaun Alexander is out with a multiple injuries of wrist, ankle, and knee. He will not play on Sunday.
49ers:
RB Frank Gore is probable with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Wednesday. The odds are good that he will start on Sunday.
QB Alex Smith has a forearm injury and is questionable. Trent Dilfer will start this week for the 49ers. If you are starting a 49ers QB, your fantasy season is over.
Rams:
WR Dante Hall is questionable with an ankle injury. He practiced fully all week.
WR Torry Holt is probable with a knee injury. He practiced fully on Thursday. Both star receivers should play this weekend.
Buccaneers:
RB Earnest Graham is questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Friday.
RB Michael Pittman is questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Thursday. He is attempting to make his way back this year. I would wait to see how effective he will be when he plays before starting him.
TE Alex Smith also has an ankle injury that is making him questionable for Sunday. He was limited in practice on Thursday.
WR Michael Clayton is questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Thursday. How many players on one team can be questionable with ankle injuries.
Titans:
RB Lendale White is probable with a toe injury. He fully practiced all week.
Redskins:
WR Antwaan Randle El is probable with a hamstring injury. He missed practice on Friday but it expected to play on Sunday.
WR James Thrash is out with a high ankle sprain. Thrash has limited fantasy potential and upside. This injury should not matter to anyone.
That is all the fantasy injuries for this week.
