Notre Dame gives game to Navy
With 50 seconds left in the game, Notre Dame could have attempted a 40 yard field goal to go ahead. They decided to go for it on 4th and 7. They were sacked and the game went to over time. In the third overtime, Navy scored a touchdown and a 2 point conversion. The Irish scored a touchdown but could not convert on the 2 point conversion. 46 to 44 was the final score. This ended the Notre Dame streak of 43 straight victories over Navy. Congratuations Navy. The Irish still have only won 1 game this season.
